Prime Music Spotlight

Editorial policy

Prime Music Spotlight aims to make music easier to explore and discuss. Our editorial work values clear explanations, fair description and a visible distinction between editorial coverage and paid collaboration.

Accuracy and interpretation

We check factual statements against suitable information before publication and take care with names, dates, musical terms and descriptions of recording or performance. Interpretation is presented as interpretation, not as the only possible reading of a song. We avoid unsupported claims about an artist's intentions or private life.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers, not as a condition of a partnership. Paid or otherwise arranged material is labelled clearly so readers can tell when a placement or article involves a commercial relationship. A partner cannot buy an unlabelled editorial endorsement.

Corrections and updates

If a reader spots an error, they can send the article title and the point in question through the Contact page. We review correction requests and update material when a factual change is warranted. We make the change clear where the nature of the correction calls for it.

Images and illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. We do not present an illustrative image as documentary evidence or as a photograph of a particular person, event or performance when it is not one.
